Gregg is a caique. He is cutie but he had a problem behavior we needed to change.
He loves his playgym. But after playing, he loves EVEN more to fly to his person’s head where he does unwelcome behaviors.
What was the solution?
We taught Gregg a behavior that is incompatible with flying to Kelsey’s head. We taught him first to step up onto her arm and then to fly to her arm, rather than to Kelsey’s head.
