One of the must-do trainings for our feathered kids is wearing a harness and the first step is letting them get used to it.
Once you have the harness, put it where your fids can clearly see its presence. Bear in mind that this is a make or break experience for them. Baby steps and be patient. You can wrap it around your hand while playing with yours fids. When your fid, gets used to it’s presence, you can start training with the introduction to wearing it.
In this vid, I’m letting Mr. Chester gets used to the harness being on her head. Putting the harness infront of him while letting him reach for his fave cashew treat. Once he grabs his treat, he puts his head in the harness opening and do this until your fid gets used to it 🙂 Exaggeratedly day good girl / boy, give a head scratch and yeah make it enjoyable 🙂
