It must be incredibly scary for these intelligent creatures. I hate how easy people give up on them. One day I would love to rescue one. Currently I have 4 dogs and it is a bit chaotic. Xox
I feel a bit bad, my bird I bought does not have a tree like yours, I interact with it all day but I feel bad for her not having a tree.
Would you say caoques are more difficult to take care of than a blue headed pionus?
Great tips, just rescued a Caique recently. As an animal lover, this is my saddest experience yet and I never thought I would be able to have an animal caged (circumstances changed). Would be great if in your channel you constantly highlight the fact that birds ARE NOT pets. Caiques are endangered species and promoting them as pets is the reason why we still see dolphins in aquariums. I know your intention is to communicate your experience but the consequence is making People wanting to have a Bird Pet just like these ones (If out of your 50k views, just 1 liked the idea of buying a Bird is already a huge loss). Illegal smuggling of birds many times are linked to illegal timber and drugs as well. Similar to doing drugs, we should'nt do Coke not because is addictive or illegal but because is a product that directly threatens our biggest land biodiversity niche, the amazon.
Maybe widget didn't trust the pellets because the previous owner gave her plastic.

You really got a hand with birds. That is amazing! And you still find all these "let the bird settle in for 3-5 days" advice online.
My female eclectus – I think has fallen in love with me and yells for me a lot so much the male has decoided to just be quite… I try to ignore.. is that best?
i would put 50 blankets over that little travel cage to muffle that noise!
