Reminder that they are also NOT beginner pets. They are not easy to own. They are a lifelong committment, some types of parrots can live as long as a human being, so if you choose to take one home, you must have a plan in place if they outlive you, especially if you adopt a baby. They have the mental age of a toddler, so not only do they need whats talked about in the video, they need SO much time invested. They're like adopting a small child that stays small for 70 years. They're also loud, can bite, scratch, and destroy things for stimulation, so you have to parrot proof your house or dedicate them their own room as you cannot keep them in their cage for more than overnight + 1 or 2 hours.
They are wonderful animals, and this video touches on their positives a lot! Just make sure you do your research if you decide to adopt one, and be prepared for a serious lifelong committment to your feathery friend ❤
