Making sure to add a 2nd parrot for your Green-cheek Conure (GCC) is a wonderful thing to do, but what gender should you add? At the age of 3, is it easy to add another GCC? It should be— this is a species that is highly social, but letting a new member into the flock isn’t always easy. Also, if your parrot isn’t accustomed to other parrots, they lose their ‘parrot es’ so that associating with a parrot becomes something they have to re-learn.
Indian Ringnecks (INR) are not social, for parrots, especially females. While they may get along with a GCC, it is unlikely—
Because GCC are so flock-oriented, it’s best to get another parrot for them that is flock-oriented. A Caique could work, although the Caique’s larger size and larger-than-life attitude could prove too much for a GCC.
If I wanted a companion for my GCC, I’d get a 2nd because it may take some time, but it’s easiest for parrots of the same species to get along.

Very good advice. My newest baby isn’t a hit with one of my black headed girls. She’s ok if he keeps his distance. So as you said and I agree, it’s a process.
I have my turquoise yellow side with a Sunday Conure. The Sunday was a rehome that lived with a lovebird luckily. When I introduced the Sunday to my turquoise, they hit it off right away 🙂 But of course, I’m still monitoring them everyday for any signs of aggression
