My birds have food 24/7 . They have tons of toys which I rotate every 2 weeks. My Caiques try to get to their new toys as I’m putting them into their cages. Water is a big concern of mine. I use bottled water that goes through 5 filters, charcoal, ultraviolet and 3 others I can’t remember. I must change water 3-5 times a day. I have dunkers and frequent bathers. I do not ever leave dirty water. The only bird that tends to be cage aggressive is, hold it, Ivar! We are working on it. I use my target training stick to point to where I want him to go to be out of my way. He’s just beginning to get it. He goes, I click and he gets a treat and verbal praise. None of the birds seem concerned with who is going into their cage. Even Ivar is ok with the other flock members. The budgies are in a separate area. We leave their cage door open during the day. They go in and out at will returning to the cage in the evening. ❤️
